Writing World: Plans For 2015

Looking on the horizon of 2015, I figured I’d better put my writing goals out in cyberspace, so if I don’t follow through, I can beat myself up and hang my head in shame.

I plan to release three contemporary romance novels this year.

1. Dance With My Heart should be available on January 28, 2015. It’s the second book in the Southland Romance series and features Danny Baker, Liz’s brother from book one. I’m eagerly awaiting the cover mockups as I write this blog.

2. Ride With My Heart is scheduled for release on April 8, 2015. The third Southland Romance features Maddie Baker, and some Southern Gothic elements.

3. Fool With My Heart is slated for an August release. Can you guess which Baker brother stars in this one? You can witness some of his foolish antics in the first two books.

Then, I’m stuck. I’m not quite sure what to do with the last Southland Romance, which happens to be the prequel. It’s set in the ’80’s, so get ready for some big hair, y’all. This will either be a late 2015 or early 2016 release. It depends on where Hubba-luv takes me for our fifteen year wedding anniversary. It better be someplace good, or else. I know where he sleeps. It’ll be with one eye open, if he says Panama City Beach. 😉

(Side note: There’s nothing wrong with PCB, but we used to live near there and have spent many days on the white sand, playing in the emerald water. I need to visit a new place, but that’s just me.)

As far as events and conferences, I already have several on my calendar, including Love in the Library at Homewood Library, RWA Nationals in New York City, Author Reader Con in New Orleans, and the Southern Magic Readers’ Luncheon in Birmingham. I’m excited for opportunities to meet and connect with readers and other authors.

It will be a busy year, but I know it’ll be a good one. I feel it in my optimistic bones, and I’m blessed to be able to share the love, one romance at a time.
