In honor of her parents, who saw education as a priority, Mina donates fifty percent of proceeds from the sale of her book A Tale of Two Djinns to UNICEF which promotes basic education and gender equality for children around the world. I highly recommend Mina’s other books too: The Djinn’s Dilemma and Dead: A Ghost Story.
If you’re not in the Atlanta area and cannot make it to the Literacy Autographing, you can click on the links above for the organizations and donate online. If you’re interested in improving yourself or the world around you, I encourage you to consider giving. If you don’t have money to give, you can volunteer your time to help others learn to read and write in your community. Remember that someone somewhere sacrificed something so you could read this blog post. Happy Reading!
